Shanghai New World Department Store is located in the junction of Nanjing Road, called “the First Chinese Business Street”, and Tibet Road. As a glitzy and glamorous commercial pearl in the prime locations, it has a floor area of 5500m2, including 2 underground floors and 12 above-ground floors, which is reputed as “the aircraft carrier in business sea”. The store has the only two spiral escalators in China Mainland. The five-star Radisson Hotel Shanghai New World next to the Store is 45 stories high. The revolving restaurant and sky bar on the top floor are good choice for dining, relaxing and enjoying panoramic views of Shanghai. Shanghai Expo Center is a national project. It is located along the Huangpu River in Zone B of Expo site. As one of the most important permanent structures, it is mainly used for conference reception and public activities. During the Expo, it will serve as the center for celebration, cultural exchange, press, reception and dining as well as management and operation. After the Expo, it will be used as a center for important high-end international and domestic forum and conferences, and provide first-class international conference facilities and supporting facilities. Shanghai Pudong International Tower
Shanghai Pudong International Airport is located in the coastal region of the Pudong New District, covering an area of over 40 km2. It is one of the major aviation hubs in the world. The annual passenger throughput is 80 million and the annual cargo throughput is 5 million tons. Two terminals of the airport resemble two seagulls with their wings opened towards the wind, reflecting a strong sense of modernity and symbolic significance. The Shanghai Pudong International Airport becomes a hot tourist spot, for it is the only airport in the world where tourists can enter and visit the airport control tower. 384 Mitsubishi elevators and escalators in total have been used in the Shanghai Pudong International Airport, which has also entrusted Shanghai Mitsubishi Elevator Co.,Ltd. to be responsible for installation and long-term maintenance.
Left-bank Power Station of the Three Gorges Dam
China Yangtze Three Gorges Project, as the biggest hydropower-complex project in the world, is one of global super projects. It is a large water resources and hydropower project with multi-objectives such as flood control, power generation and shipping. The total project cost is RMB 205 billion. Upon completion, it will output 18000 MW of power, equal to the power generation of 18 nuclear power plants. The completed dam will be 2335m long and over 70m high, like a “Great Wall” across the Yangtze River. Beijing Capital International Airport
As "the Front Door of China”, Beijing Capital International Airport is the most important hub-airport of China. The expansion project of the Beijing Capital International Airport was launched in March of 2004, aiming to increase competitiveness against the fierce competition in the international airline industry, create a better and new image and satisfy the requirements of 2008 Beijing Olympics. It is said that the Beijing Capital International Airport, upon the completion of the expansion project, is able to handle 60 million passengers and 1.8 million cargo yearly. It is designed to serve 500000 flights yearly and 17000 flights daily (1 flight per minute in average).Workers are striving, in an scientific and rigorous attitude, to create a classical case in the airport construction history of China. There are 145 Mitsubishi escalators in total used in terminals of the Beijing Capital International Airport. Those escalators are at an angle of 300, with lifting height of 3.6m, 4.25m and 5.25m. Guizhou Huangguoshu Scenic Spot
As the largest waterfall in Asia, the Guizhou Huangguoshu Waterfall has a drop of 74m and a width of 81m. It is a famous national scenic spot, attracting many tourists to admire it. In order to facilitate tourists to enjoy scenery, relevant departments decided to install more escalators in the spot. This elevator project with a traveling height ranked 2nd in the world and 1st in China has already completed satisfactorily. 4 Mitsubishi Outdoor A escalators are used in the Huangguoshu Scenic Spot. The total traveling height is 76.8m. It gives full play to its multi-drive advantage. In addition, the upper and the lower escalators are interlocked, and the MELMOS monitoring system is used. The New CCTV Headquarters is one of most important buildings in Beijing. Located in the east of the east 3rd ring road, it covers an area of 187000 m2, with a gross floor area of 550000 m2 and a height of approximately 230m. It was designed by Dutch OMA design team. Its unique design will not only establish a symbolic design of CCTV, but also create a new era of Chinese building industry. The New CCTV Headquarters project is divided into A and B bid sections. The A bid section refers to the main building (i.e. CCTV), and B the TV Art Centre (i.e. TVCC).
